Health is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day; while disease is simply a few errors in judgment, repeated every day. It is the accumulative weight of our disciplines and our judgments that leads us to either health or disease.

Diversified Adjustment Technique

This is the most commonly used chiropractic adjustment technique. It is a manual, hands-on adjustment of the spine or joints, used to restore proper movement and alignment.

Activator Methods

Activator Methods is a gentle, low-force chiropractic technique. With this method, doctors use the Activator Adjusting Instrument to restore spinal balance quickly, safely, and comfortably. People all ages (even children) can benefit from an Activator adjustment, especially those who can’t receive other types of spinal adjustments.

Active Release Technique (ART)

Often referred to as the Gold Standard of soft tissue treatment,  Active Release Technique (ART) is widely used by elite teams/athletes.  Active Release Technique releases nerve and blood vessels trapped beneath adhesions through movement of the tissues. Because scar tissue and other adhesions build up around overused or injured muscles, the muscles eventually become weaker which changes the function and movement of the joints. Eventually, the nerves become compressed and the blood supply decreases, which is when you begin to experience limited movement and pain. This is where Active Release Technique comes in!

Comprehensive Chiropractic is THE clinic for athletes and injury patients seeking Active Release Technique.

Graston Technique

The technique utilizes stainless steel instruments designed specifically to detect and effectively treat areas with soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.

Graston Technique is effective because it provides controlled microtrauma to the affected soft tissue structures. The technique stimulates a local inflammatory response, which leads to remodeling and repair of affected soft tissues. The instruments allow doctors to identify and treat specific areas.

Treatment with the Graston Technique is conducted in association with a rehabilitation program designed to restore patients to their pre-injury level of activity. This is accomplished by implementing a functional progression program, which focuses on imbalances throughout the kinetic chain. Flexibility, strengthening, and muscle re-education are employed to provide optimal results within a minimal number of treatment sessions.

Kinesio Taping

Kinesiology tape is very different from a true athletic tape; it has a built in elasticity, that when applied correctly, helps to pull the skin away from the underlying soft tissue. This increases blood flow and lymphatic drainage in the area, resulting in an ability to IMPROVE FORM and WARD OFF FATIGUE. The continual force and demand that is applied to the body in any sport or repetitive activity, makes for a wide variety of ideal candidates for benefiting from kinesio tape.

Cox Flexion-Distraction

With the Cox flexion-distraction technique, the chiropractor uses a special table to apply pressure to different areas of the back in order to realign the spine. Cox flexion-distraction is a form of spinal decompression that is often used on patients who are suffering from back pain, neck and shoulder pain, or hip pain, or patients who are rehabilitating from surgery. It is ideal for people who want relief from back pain without invasive surgery.

Decompression Traction System

This is a form of spinal decompression that uses a decompression table to relieve pain associated with herniated discs or bulging in the neck or lower back. It works by reducing the pressure on spinal discs and joints.

Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization

The Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) approach provides functional tools to assess and activate the intrinsic spinal stabilizers in order to optimize the movement system for both pre?habilitation and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and performance.
